A fantastically irreverent, provocative, charming, compassionate examination of the contradictions of religious thought, culture, and social structures, from within Judaism. In a very Jewish tone, it strikes the perfect balance of amusing chiding and deep love. It lays bare multiple hypocrisies while maintaining a kind of embrace and acceptance of those contradictions. Yes, it's a graphic novel. But there's something here that both amused and challenged me. Love it.
